About UsAbout Thursdays at the Theater Thursdays (and Fridays) at the Theater is proudly entering its third year as a unique and community-oriented family entertainment series. We have an exciting lineup of performances! Why we do this Thursdays at the Theater aims to reach out to the Willow Glen community and invite our neighbors to enjoy high quality, low-cost, live entertainment that is appropriate for all ages. Proceeds from the shows benefit the music program at Willow Glen Middle and High Schools, paying for such things as musical instruments, sound system equipment, costumes, an accompanist, and opportunities that students would otherwise have to do without. The 2005-2006 series raised $7000 and we hope to increase that amount this year. Warm and friendly The 2005-2006 season featured comedy juggling teams, singers, a magician, a big band, live theater, and a film festival.The atmosphere at the shows is festive and friendly, and the entertainers interact with the audience keeping everyone engaged. Popcorn and bottled water are always available, and the theater is very comfortable. You make the difference! Thursdays at the Theater was begun by a small group of Willow Glen Middle and High School parents in September of 2004. The series continues to be volunteer-run, and we are most grateful for the continuing, generous support of community sponsors. Sponsors help us achieve our dual goals of bringing great entertainment to our community and raising vital funds for music in our schools. And most importantly, our audiences have been wonderful, coming out on rainy evenings, dancing in the aisles, and providing great encouragement as TaTT got off the ground. Every performer has commented on how much they enjoyed performing for such a warm, enthusiastic audience! If you attended one or more shows last year, welcome back!
